Up Around The Sun is an old time fusion duo based in Austin, TX featuring Jerry Hagins on claw hammer banjo and Tim Kerr on open tuned acoustic guitar. 'Water Valley' is a 12 song collection of traditional old time banjo music fused with modern acoustic open tuned guitar. Often the guitar changes chords under these melodies every other beat or so. This gives the songs you thought you knew more life and movement than previously thought possible.  Certain selections are adorned with fiddle, others with harmonica. The Up Around The Sun sound has been humorously described as "Windham Hillbilly". This item is on pre-order until the official release date of February 7, 2025.
